Two Day Hands-On Retreat (Auckland)
Prerequisites:
(1) Must be employed by a “Registered Specialist Orthodontist”
AND
(2) Participants must have completed or must be currently enrolled in the AOA Online Course
OR
(2) Be a Registered Orthodontic Auxillary undertaking the course for CPD
Format and Areas of Concentration:
1- Mannequins (posture, elastomeric ligatures and chain, steel ligatures, Koby ties, coil springs, headgear)
2- Pre-clinical functions performed on other students (isolation, tooth prep, bonding, composite removal)
3- Photography (intra and extraoral digital photos and computer capture)
4- Separators, banding and debanding
5- Bracket placement, archwires and ties
6- Laboratory (pouring, separating and trimming of models; fabrication of Essix retainers)
