“Smiles Change Lives is seeking applicants and providers nationwide!
Smiles Change Lives (SCL) is the nation’s leader in helping low-income youth gain access to orthodontic treatment. A nonprofit organization with more than 200 orthodontic providers nationwide, SCL has just expanded its program to serve 10 new regions.
Now in 16 states, with plans to expand into more areas in 2010, SCL needs the assistance of all orthodontic assistants!
1 – Please refer youth candidates to SCL. You are encouraged to send any of your low-income or pro-bono cases to SCL to be considered for the program. Applicants must be ages 11-18, with good oral hygiene, and a moderate to severe malocclusion. Detailed program guidelines are available at www.smileschangelives.org/apply or by phone at 816-421-4949. You are welcome to download applications and distribute to families who you believe may qualify for our program.
2 – Join our network of providers. If your practice accepts pro bono cases and you think your doctor(s) might be interested in becoming an SCL provider(s), please email partner@smileschangelives.org for more information. There are many benefits to being an SCL partner beyond the great feeling of knowing you’ve helped a deserving child regain hope and confidence. SCL is “pro bono without the hassle,” meaning your practice doesn’t have to vette applicants, decide which cases to accept, or deal with patient compliance issues. We do all that, and more, for you! Show your community how you give back to help those in need by becoming an SCL provider.
Please use SCL as a resource any time we can be of assistance. You may join our mailing list or get more information by emailing info@smileschangelives.org or by calling 816-421-4949. Connect with us online at www.smileschangelives.org/onlinecommunities. Thank you so much for all you do to help children achieve a healthy and beautiful smile. www.smileschangelives.org.”
