We are looking for an experienced Orthodontic Assistant to join our growing Orthodontic Laboratory. If you’ve had orthodontic assistant training and know terminology, but decided patient contact is not for you and want the freedom to work from home or the office, we may have the position you’ve been looking for! Do you enjoy working with computers, have great attention to detail, work at a fast pace, and enjoy data entry? We have an immediate need to fill multiple full-time positions processing prescription orders for orthodontic appliances. An ideal candidate is someone who knows dental/orthodontic terminology and has experience working with prescriptions, patient information, and understands HIPAA requirements.

If you have worked in a dental or orthodontic office and enjoy data entry this might be the ideal position for you!

First Shift Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday
Second Shift Hours: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM, Monday through Friday - OR - 4:00 PM – 12:30 AM, Monday through Friday (Must be available to train at least partially during the day)

*Overtime may be necessary.

Remote work may be available after training is completed (usually after 2-3 months); if available, there is a requirement to work on-site one day per week.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:
• Highly motivated, well organized individual who requires minimal direct supervision.
• Strong computer skills and understanding of computer networks.
• Strong people skills, clear speech, good grammar and pleasant phone presence.
• Must possess a positive attitude and work well in a team environment.
• Training or work experience with Orthodontic/Dental terminology, required.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time.
• Excellent organizational skills a must.
• Ability to see details at close range.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently, a must.
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus, but not required.
• High School diploma, GED equivalency, or currently enrolled.

COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS/JOB DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
• Great attendance
• Ability to remain calm, courteous, and professional when dealing with all types of people.
• Ability to understand orthodontic prescription and perform order entry; noting all of the Doctor's requests.
• Ability to differentiate between appliances to determine what is needed for each individual order.
• Ability to recognize, understand, and explain product functionality to customers.
