Trapezio in conjuction with Manitoba Dental Association

The Manitoba Dental Association (MDA), in partnership with Trapezio, is pleased to offer a certification pathway for orthodontic assistants that combines online education with a required hands-on clinical component.

As part of this pathway, the MDA recognizes Trapezio as an approved provider of the online educational component. This pathway is designed to support foundational orthodontic knowledge while ensuring participants complete the required clinical training.

*Trapezio is the endorsed team training program for the American Association of Orthodontists and sets the standard for team training and to help bring education and inspiration to orthodontic practices.

Online Education Requirements

*Dental Assistants must be registered with the Manitoba Dental Association in order to enroll in the Trapezio Orthodontic Module.

To complete the online education portion of the certification pathway, participants must successfully complete both of the following programs through Trapezio:

Academy of Orthodontic Assisting – Level 1

$280 USD Per Person

Includes 3 months of access

Academy of Orthodontic Assisting – Level 2

 $210 USD Per Person

Includes 2 months of access

Each program requires:

Completion of all instructional modules

Successful completion of all required assessments

An overall average score of 75% or higher

Hands-On Clinical Component

*To complete the hands-on clinical component of the certification pathway, participants must register for the hands-on portion directly through the Manitoba Dental Association’s website.
